The National Park Service (NPS) announces the release of the Gulf Coast Site Plan and Maintenance Dredging / Environmental Assessment (EA). We invite the public to comment on this EA during the public review period through February 26th.

YARD WASTE COLLECTION
As of October 2005, yard waste is no longer collected in plastic bags. Yard waste collection is on the same day as your recycling collection.
Yard waste must be prepared for collection by either:

Placing in personal containers no larger than 45 gallons, weighing no more than 50 pounds when filled.

Placing in paper bags/sacks.
-
Tying in bundles no longer than four feet in length.
-
No branches thicker than four inches in diameter.
No more than ten (10) bundles or containers.
No Plastic Bags.

FWC Grant Acknowledgement
The City of Everglades City completed the Waterway Markers Project in August 2021 to alert boaters about the Manatee Zones in the waterways within the City’s limits. This project was funded through a grant from the Florida Boating Improvement Program of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
